Sensei Shaun Hoddy and his team of Dan Grade (black belt)  instructors have attended various coach education training courses recognised by City & Guild, CIEH, HSE & Skills Active. These courses cover Instruction/Managment, Coaching, Child Protection, Health & Safety and HSE First Aid.

Shaun Hoddy's certification can be veiwed on the Shoshinkan history page or by request at any class.

Regular 4 week beginners courses are held in a safe and well run environment with qualified instructors, improving your coordination, flexibility, balance and body-awareness.

The course introduces the student to the basic principles and techniques of Aikido and covers the Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei syllabus up to 8th Kyu

The fees for the 4 week course are £15.00 adults & £10.00 juniors. Pay for October and receive November FREE

All Beginners courses are held at our main venues, Waterside Farm Sports Centre,  Somnes Avenue, Canvey Island,  Essex.  SS8 9RA    (unless otherwise stated.)
